This hand built stoneware planter is suitable for house plants or succulent friends. There are holes in the bottom for drainage as well as a plate included to catch excess water.
This pot was made using the coil technique, in which rolled coils of clay are scored and slipped together, then smoothed and pinched to create strong, even walls. This method provides a unique opportunity to preserve the artist's "mark" throughout the piece.
The imagery on this piece was hand carved using a ceramic process called "sgraffito".
Hand-painted using underglazes and fired to cone 6.
