Handmade stoneware tombstone wall tile with Wolf & Elk

This large, uniquely shaped handmade tile was carefully crafted using a slab of brown stoneware and a hand-cut tile die. The illustration was hand painted and carved using a ceramic process known as "sgrafitto". Hand-pinched, functional bells have been added to this piece using natural waxed cotton cord.
This tile would be suitable for display in your home as a hanging art piece on your wall. There is an incised keyhole on the back of the tile to allow for easy hanging with a flat head screw (the use of a dry wall anchor is recommended). There is also a grooved backing to allow the option for permanent tile installation.
Cone 6 stoneware and underglazes.
