The image on this wheel thrown vase is hand painted and carved using a ceramic technique called "sgrafitto". This piece also incorporates a unique background pattern created using hand-cut paper stencils and by layering various underglazes.
No two pieces are alike, each are their own individual, unique piece of artwork.
Stoneware and glazes are fired to cone 6.
