This small stoneware cake stand was made using combined wheel throwing and slab building techniques. It will fit a 6" cake, stack of cupcakes, muffins, fruit, or whatever else you may want to put on display.
The imagery on this piece was hand carved and painted using a ceramic process called "sgrafitto". The vibrant background was painted using underglazes and hand cut paper stencils. Each piece is uniquely handmade from start to finish; no two pieces are alike and each are an individual piece of original artwork.
