This is a hand-built stoneware serving bowl with scallop carved lip. The illustration is completely painted by hand with underglazes and a ceramic process called sgraffito.
The exterior features a pale mint satin glazed scallop pattern along the rim of the bowl. This piece is a bit more shallow and wide, which would make it perfect for serving a pasta dish or a large salad.
